Mergui Archipelago Twin Island & Shark Cave (5 Days/ 4 Nights) (16 Dives)

Kawthaung – Kyat Mauk Island – Honor Rock – Western Rocky- Western Rocky Pinnacle – Myanmar Andaman Resort – Macleod Island – Stewart Island – McCarthy Island – North Twin – Shark Cave – Gt.Swington – Rockey – High Rock – Kawthaung

Day (1) 

After immigration clearance, our boat will leave Kawthaung’s Myoma Jetty for Kyat Mauk island around 9:00 pm. Kyat Mauk and neighboring islands are a group of islands with limestone mountains with cliffs, caves and long white sandy beaches like Koh Phi Phi in Thailand. Dive sites in Kyat Mauk and neighboring islands are amazing, especially for colorful soft coral and the caves. We will make two fun dives and one night dive in there. We have opportunity to see Blacktip Sharks, Tunas, Snappers, Stingray, Turtle, Rare and beautiful different species nudibranchs and many underwater life.

Day (2)

First dive for that day is in Honor rock, the rock is quite similar to Richelieu rock of Thailand but much bigger. Colorful soft coral and huge seafan forest are the trademark of that rock. Second at Western Rocky and one of the best dive sites in Burma. One of the highlights is a tunnel (Cave) at 20 meters depth that goes all the way through the island. There are good chances of seeing Bowmouth Guitar Fish, Nurse Shark, Grey Reef Shark, Cuttlefishes, Harlequin Shrimps, Frogfish and Sea Horses and a lot of Lobsters. Another one dives in Western Rocky Pinnacle, one of the best dive site of Burma too. Chance to See- Leopard Shark, Gray reef shark, Nurse Shark, Eagle ray, Eels, Lobsters, Ghost Pipefishes, Sea Horse and many stuff. Final dive for that day is in South Rock, there big chance to see lobsters and beautiful reef fishes. Then pay a visit to Myanmar Andaman Resort.

Day (3)

First Two dives for third day of the trip is in Macleod Island. Dive sites around Macleod are the sites with very good chance to see-Manta Rays, Various shark species, Lobsters, Harlequin Shrimp, Frogfish, Sea Horse and a lot of small things, Another two more dives for that day are at The Arch of Stewart island and Tower rock of McCarthy island, the sites are with beautiful coral reef and big chance to see both big and small stuffs.

Day (4)

First two dives for forth days are at North Twin island and North Pinnacle of North Twin. It’s famous for good visibility, good coral life and good chance to see big  stuff in Mergui Archipelago. Third dive is in Shark Cave, famous dive site in Mergui Archipelago for very good chance to see more than one shark inside the cave. Forth dive for that day is night dive in Gt.Swington, good to see Barracuda around beautiful reef.

Day (5)

Two dives for final day of the trip in Rocky island and High Rock, the best Macro sports of Mergui Archipelago. There can find all small and beautiful things like Pipefish, Pineapple fish, Frogfish, Sea Horses and many different species of Nudibranchs. Then back to Kawthaung.

Day (5)

First dive for fifth day of the trip is in north pinnacle of North Twin, another great dive site of Mergui Archipelago. Second and third dive will be done in Shark Cave, famous dive site in Mergui Archipelago for very good chance to see more than one shark inside the cave. Forth dive for that day is night dive in Gt.Swington good site to see Barracuda around beautiful reef.

Day (6)

Today diving may be the finest diving on the trip. 2 dives in Seafan Forest pinacle, the dive site with a forest of beautiful giant seafans where you have a very good chance to see some of the big stuf. And another 2 dives for that day are in Western rocky, one of the best dive sites in Burma. One of the highlights is a tunnel (cave) at 20 meters depth that goes all the way through the island., There are good chances of seeing Bowmouth Guitar Fish, Nurse shark, Grey reef shark, Cuttlefishes, Harlequin Shrimps, Frogfish and Sea Horses and a lot of lobsters

Day (7)

Two dives for final day of the trip are in Rocky island and High Rock, the best Macro spots of Mergui Archipelago. There, one can find all small and beautiful things like Pipefish, Pineapple Fish, Frogfish, Sea Horse and many different species of Nudibranchs. Then back to Kawthaung.

Two dives and a night dive for third day are in Glass house island, Brothers Rock and Ninepin Rock. There are may good chances to see big stuff like reef sharks, Eagle rays and other small things.

Day (4) Western Rocky -Spur Rock – Horse Shoe – Kawthaung

Two dives for final day of the trip in Spur rock and Horse Shoe to see shark and small things. Then back to Kawthaung.
